The Gallery: Playtime

I had several different photos I could have used from this holiday to Dublin as it was a very playful weekend. This photo was taken with my brother and my second cousin (I'm obviously the one in the very colourful shirt)

He wouldn't stop crying. I'll never  be able father children.

Photo Every Day #39: A wet portrait

© Andy Harmon

I had received a new camera from my parents for my fourteenth birthday (A Fujifilm S1700, for those who are interested) and we all spend the day at the Sheffield Winter Gardens and had a look at lots of plants and some artworks. The nice thing about this is that the camera from Asda had come with 50 free digital prints which was VERY nice of them. I love it, I do.

Photo Every Day #36: The Nottingham Eye

I loved this thing. It was basically a massive Ferris Wheel in the Market Square of Nottingham. Oh, how fun it was.

Photo Every Day #35: The Frosty Spiderweb

*This is automatically posted*

I shall take this photo out of the archive from two years ago. It was a spider web which was next to the bird house and it had frozen from the cold weather the winter had offered us.

The Gallery: Nature

Woah woah woah! This is so mine right now. Have I not mentioned how totally amazing I am at taking brilliant photos of flowers and other lovely green things. I actually want to go to the local nature park to trial out my new camera I received for my birthday so do expect thousands more photos! Anyhow, back onto the subject I reveil my photo of honour!

So this photo is quite special to me; It was taken about 6 months ago when the cold weather Britain had was starting to fade away and it was at this same time I started to be interested in photography and having these new crazes which caused me to have these really insane photos being produced. Amazingly, I never had though this photo particularly was half-decent but this was based on my original thoughts about my work which, on reflection, are quite shocking. Now I think about it, this is probably one of my stronger images but I tend to leave that to the critics..

Remember kids, speed doesn't kill; it bumps.

Photo Every Day #31: Breathing Fire

© Andy Harmon

This is a picture of my aunt, Doreen which was taken at the 'Bang Goes the Theory' road show in Nottingham market square. It was a fun day but this experiment was quite amazing.

Photo Every Day #28: The white flower

This follows from the other picture I did two days ago. How fun is that it's now in colour.

Photo Every Day #27: Bright Green amongst trees

© Andy Harmon

How lovely it is to take pictures of many things right in your back garden and you don't need to go anywhere to get a half-decent shot.

Photo Every Day #26: The first Black and White

I used the camera setting for this and I think it came out really prettily.

The Gallery: Can you see what it is yet?

*This is a blog post for The Gallery which is hosted by Tara at Sticky Fingers*

So this theme seems to be my forte since I love taking macro images and this week's theme seems heavily based around that. So anyhow, this should be an amazingly easy one for y'all to guess at considering I also put it in a friendly contest with a friend who hosts a macro war kinda thing over MSN. Since it was a kitchen based theme and this was the closest thing to me I took it and I'm a bit surprised at how sharp the image came out.

This little cat got his way out and also got himself lost. It's nice to see him back home, safe and sound.

I'm having my depressed day today. It's been lazy at least.

Photo Every Day #21: El cielo espaƱol (Cross-Processed)

© Paula Maher/Andy Harmon

This was taken whilst in Alcudia, Mallorca. Hence, the title. I crossed processed this and I tried a new technique and I guess it's better.

Photo Every Day #19: "Lay Your Love On Me"

© Andy Harmon

This was taken ages ago but I was reminded of it whilst having a Spanish class with a very small group of people and my iPod was played. And everyone nearly killed themselves.
